Self-Employed Medical Illustrator/Graphic Designer

I have enjoyed working as a self-employed medical artist for over 25 years, consulting closely with my clients to create effective, visually attractive and anatomically accurate illustrations for use in surgical textbooks, journals, animations, patient education materials and websites. During that time I have contracted with some of the world's leading publishers of science and health care information: Wolters Kluwer/Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, American College of Surgeons, WB Saunders, Springer-Verlag, Raven Press, Oxford Press and Current Medicine as well as departments at The University of Michigan Health System, University of Kansas Medical Center & University of Texas Medical Center.
I have a strong understanding of human anatomy & physiology and have many hours of experience observing surgical procedures and communicating with medical professionals. I am skilled in the creation of both simple and complex digital images as well as design and layout using both vector and raster-based software. (Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
